2. What data we collect
Enquiry and Brand Review form
The form asks its questions in two steps. The first step is what we need to answer you at all; the second is what a written Brand Review needs in order to be worth reading. You can stop after the first step and we will still have your enquiry.
In the first step we collect:
- Name
- Work email address
- Brand or company name
- Where you sell today
- Area of interest
- Message content
- Enquiry source: the campaign parameters present in the link you arrived through (for example
utm_source) and the address of the referring page, without its query string
If you continue to the second step, we also collect the European markets that matter to you, the size of your product range, a link to your products or catalogue, who owns your marketplace accounts today, your rough revenue band and your timeline. All of it is optional, and none of it is used for anything other than the review and our reply.
The form endpoint uses the request IP address transiently for abuse-rate limiting. The IP address is not included in the delivered email. Contact details are processed to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Enquiry source is read from the page you are on at the moment you submit the form and is sent only with that submission. It is not stored in your browser, not written to a cookie, not shared with any advertising network, and is used only to understand which channel produced the enquiry.
Counting enquiries
So that we can see how many enquiries the website produces and through which channel, each accepted submission also writes one short record for our own use. That record is deliberately categorical: an opaque reference, the area of interest, where you sell, the markets and ranges you selected, the campaign the visit came from, and the time. It never contains your name, your email address, your brand name, your phone number, your links or anything you typed in free text, and an automated check on our side enforces that. There is no analytics product behind it, no tracking cookie, no third-party script and no advertising network — which is why this website has no cookie wall beyond the single preference described below.
Local stocklist check
If you use the stocklist checker, the selected file is decoded, mapped and validated inside your browser tab. File contents and preview rows are not uploaded, written to browser storage, added to a URL or included in the contact form. The in-memory copy is removed when you reset the tool, close the tab or leave the page.
Website analytics
We measure page views, referring sources and which of our own buttons are used (for example the Brand Review button or the newsletter signup) with Vercel Web Analytics, served from this domain rather than a third-party host. These button events carry no personal data and no form content. It sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's storage. Visitors are counted using a temporary value derived from the request itself, which is discarded after 24 hours, so the measurement is aggregate and not tied to an identifiable person. It is not used for advertising, not shared with any advertising network, and does not follow you to other websites. The local stocklist route does not load it. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding which pages and channels are useful.
Essential local storage
On standard website routes we store one small value in your browser's local storage: your cookie-banner decision (k6_cookies). It is not transmitted to a server and is not used for tracking, analytics or advertising. The local stocklist route does not load this storage helper. We do not set third-party cookies.
3. How we use your data
We use the data you provide solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Assess potential business partnerships
- Prevent automated abuse of the contact endpoint
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data storage and processors
Our website is hosted on Vercel. The contact form is served by a Vercel serverless function and, when delivery is configured, submissions are delivered to our email via Resend. Their current data-processing terms provide international-transfer safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses. We retain contact form data for up to 12 months after your last communication with us. Stocklist file contents are not received or retained by these processors through the local checker.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Data portability
- Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)

7. Weekly marketplace brief (email subscription)
You can subscribe to our weekly marketplace brief from the newsroom pages. Subscribing works in two steps (double opt-in), and each step processes data differently:
Verification email
Submitting the subscribe form transmits your email address to Resend, our email processor (their data-processing terms include Standard Contractual Clauses), to deliver one verification email. This step is processed under legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): verifying that you actually made the request. Resend retains sent emails for approximately 30 days. The form endpoint also uses your IP address transiently for abuse-rate limiting on Vercel infrastructure; the website itself keeps no durable datastore for subscriptions (in-memory rate-limit entries exist transiently).
Confirmed subscription
A contact record is created at Resend only after you confirm via the verification email. Your enrollment and the weekly emails themselves rest on consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We store the confirmation timestamp and the version of this notice you agreed to with the contact record as evidence of that consent. The emails contain no tracking.
Retention and unsubscribing
We keep your address and the consent evidence for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, the contact remains recorded as globally unsubscribed so that we do not email you again — the weekly brief is our only marketing email. You can have the record deleted entirely at any time by emailing info@k6trading.com.
